Peniel Ministries, Southern India

Peniel Ministries was established in 1980 originally as a church planting operation. The name Peniel was chosen serving as an extension of the deep longing and desire for the people in their region to encounter God in a life changing manner, as Jacob had in Genesis 32:30. Through their church planting efforts (where over 60 churches have been planted over the years!), the realization for big needs arose: first for a school and then for a children's home. There is now a boys' and girls' home, with a focus on counseling through much trauma; as well as three schools in the slums and villages of southern India.

Mosaik Kirche, Germany

Mosaik Kirche (Mosaic Church) is a growing Christian church in Giessen, about an hour's drive north of Frankfurt. It is their goal to take hold of the old Christian roots on which German society was built and to make them understandable and tangible even into the current times. The name "Mosaic" was chosen because the “picture” of the church becomes more beautiful as more different and colorful individual stones are introduced. Giessen hosts the only accredited theological seminary in Germany. There are many students that attend this church who are then launched into the world to spread the gospel!

Potsdam, Germany

Weil Fam.png

In 2009, Steffen Weil moved to Potsdam (178,000 citizens and growing; percent of evangelical Christians is approximately 0.25%) with his wife, four kids, and one other married couple to begin the work of planting a new church. In 2012, that vision was realized as they held the first official church service of their new church plant, called “mittendrin.” Steffen is a gifted church planter and is currently working as mentor/coach for church plants in the cities of Cottbus, Magedeburg, Rostock and Schwerin. Additionally, he joined the leadership team of City to City – DACH (Deutschland, Austria, Switzerland) in June 2018. They asked him to “head up” their church planting efforts in Eastern Germany, which expanded his role as support/mentor for current church plants in many other eastern German cities. Finally, he is part of the leadership team of Together for Berlin, a church planting initiative for Berlin.

Albania

Raised in Muslim households in Albania, Gedis and Çeljeta both made decisions to follow Christ in 2006. After a few years in university spent growing deeper in their faith, they met and began serving students alongside Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) in Tirana, the capital city. Before and since their 2016 marriage, they kept meeting and discipling students, leading CRU's small group Bible studies, learning about church planting, and sharing the Gospel with students in Albania and beyond. The pair just moved from Tirana to Elbasan, Albania's third largest city, to continue their work with students through CRU. The Mankas have a healthy, 1-year-old baby boy named Nathaniel.

Their medical care is whole-person approach which provides health care for the uninsured, underserved, and culturally marginalized in Middle Tennessee. The Community Health program empowers foreign-born Nashvillians to take ownership of their health and the health of their communities. Siloam is also passionate about multiplying their model of whole-person care by training the next generation of health professionals in the art of culturally-sensitive, comprehensive care.

People Loving Nashville is a diverse group of folks learning how to love well. They accomplish this by meeting basic needs of the poor, providing warm meals, clothing, and hygiene products. Through their ministry, they are learning that love grows as communities are tied together. They cultivate friendship and community between the homeless and “homeful” by acknowledging that everyone is broken and searching for similar things.
