John Dansby

John is a native Tennessean who has called Nashville home since 2013. A nurse in the city, he enjoys bringing light during his patients’ darkest days.

When not in the operating room, you can find him cheering on his Vols, playing Spikeball, or listening to music (at times all at once). He has one roommate— his lovely wife Caroline. They have been married since 2022 (his greatest gift to date).

Faith Story

I have the tremendous gift of being raised in a Christian home all my life. I came to accept Jesus Christ for myself at the age of 8. Realizing the hopelessness of my sin-ridden efforts made Christ all the more obvious. Though faith was my own, growth picked up exponentially during my college years. It was there that I grew even more in my understanding and need for Him. Since then I’ve continued to grow in my dependence on Jesus. Time and time again it was clear that He was the main constant in my life and I didn’t (don’t) have the power to fix myself. I could not because I can not; but I don’t have to. Jesus promises to change me [and He is]. Jesus lived the perfect life on my behalf [and I only have to accept it]. Because of His sacrifice my job is simplified: be faithful and obey.
